Many business premises are under-equipped with signs. Mandatory signs, warning signs and advisory signs are all required in a workplace. |
| In 1996 the laws on signs changed. The new laws stated that an employer is required to provide a sign whenever there is a risk that cannot be controlled by any other means. Additionally all safety signs should now contain a pictogram as part of their intrinsic features. |
